Biography
Steven Colborne is a Christian author, musician and counsellor. The son of an English father and a Dutch mother, Steven has had a remarkable spiritual journey which has involved immersive explorations of both Eastern and Western spirituality.
As an author, Steven has written and self-published many books in the philosophical theology genre. His books offer deep insights into many of the big problems of philosophy and theology, with a focus on the divine sovereignty versus human free will debate, especially as it relates to the Christian worldview. Collectively, Steven's books have been read over 15,000 times and have sparked a fair amount of controversy as they challenge many of the theological assumptions that underpin contemporary religious discussion.
As a musician, Steven was guitarist and songwriter in the Oxford-based progressive metal band Marconi's Voodoo, and after the band went on a long unagreed hiatus he went on to record experimental riff-infused electro-rock music as Agony and Ecstasy, and more recently futuristic electro-metal music under the name ThE ALmiGHty InTeRplaneTARy ConSciouSneSS EXPLoSION.
Steven suffered a serious suicide attempt in 2023 after coming under intense spiritual attack from Satan, but Jesus healed him miraculously and he continues to preach the gospel, offer counselling, and promote his creative work with which he hopes to influence the world for the better.
Steven is a first-class BA (Hons) graduate of the University of Westminster and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Philosophy and Religion from Heythrop College, University of London. He was born in Cambridgeshire, grew up in Abingdon in Oxfordshire, and currently lives in London, England.
